Storage & Recycle Bin
Inspect local storage, control checkpoints, and restore deleted projects.

Open Settings → Data Storage → Local store to see where projects live and how Oleafly uses disk space.
Projects folder
Section titled “Projects folder”The path shown at the top identifies the library on this computer. Each project is a folder containing its source and supporting files. Use the path when making a backup; see Your files and data for the wider app data directory.
Storage usage
Section titled “Storage usage”The storage summary distinguishes the parts of your library:

The summary reports inaccessible entries separately when it cannot count them. Use the individual categories to understand growth; they describe related parts of the library and should not be added together as independent totals.
Refresh storage usage
Section titled “Refresh storage usage”Click the refresh control to recalculate after importing projects, downloading assets, or deleting files.
Automatic checkpoints
Section titled “Automatic checkpoints”Choose whether successful, validated compiles save checkpoints. Checkpoints provide a way to return to a known compiled version of the manuscript.
Checkpoint notifications
Section titled “Checkpoint notifications”Use the notification setting to control checkpoint storage notices. This changes the notices, separately from whether checkpoints are created.
Recycle Bin
Section titled “Recycle Bin”Deleted projects remain in the Recycle Bin until you remove them. Each entry shows its name, deletion time, and size. There is no automatic cleanup.
Restore
Section titled “Restore”Choose Restore beside a project to return it to the library. Open it from the library and inspect its files before continuing your work.
Permanently delete
Section titled “Permanently delete”Use the trash control beside a recycled project to remove that project permanently. Read the named-project confirmation before accepting it.
Clear all
Section titled “Clear all”Choose Clear all in the Recycle Bin header to remove all recycled projects after confirmation. Export or back up anything you want to keep first.
Delete all projects
Section titled “Delete all projects”The library-wide delete action moves projects to the Recycle Bin. This is separate from permanently clearing the bin. Use the ordinary project menu when you only want to remove one project.
Cloud sync tab
Section titled “Cloud sync tab”Use GitHub sync for the supported pull-and-push workflow between computers. The Cloud sync tab is not an automatic hosted sync service.
