Oleafly Tools
Convert documents, build references, check a bibliography, calculate statistics, and start focused writing tasks from one toolbox.

A paper rarely arrives in the format you need. An equation may be trapped in a screenshot, a collaborator may send a Word file, or a reference may be nothing more than a DOI. Oleafly Tools turns those loose ends into material you can edit, inspect, and keep.
You can run a tool before opening a project. Copy the result, save it as a file, or create a project when the output is a supported writing format.
Open a tool
Section titled “Open a tool”Choose whichever route is quickest:
- From the Library, open Oleafly Tools and search by name, format, or task.
- Press ⌘⇧F on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+F on Windows and Linux. Type
/toolsfor the gallery or a tool’s command, such as/latex-to-word. - Inside a project, use a matching editor action when one is available. For example, an equation selection can open LaTeX to Image.

Resize a two-pane tool
Section titled “Resize a two-pane tool”On a desktop-sized window, tools with input and result panes have a divider between them. Drag it to give more room to the side you are using. You can also focus the divider with the keyboard and use the arrow keys. Oleafly remembers that split for each tool. On a narrow window, the panes stack so neither side is squeezed into an unreadable column.

Visual Typst Editor, Typst Editor, and Table to LaTeX start new work without needing an input file.
Build references
Section titled “Build references”Use an identifier when you have one: DOI, ISBN, PubMed ID, arXiv ID, or a web address. Use the Citation Generator for one source, the Bibliography Generator for a list, and Citation Generators by Style when you need to compare formatting rules.
Research, check, and write
Section titled “Research, check, and write”- Find Citations searches scholarly indexes and can scan a draft for claims that need support.
- BibTeX Validator catches incomplete entries and duplicate keys before they break a bibliography.
- Lab Search and Conference Deadlines help you explore places to work and venues to follow.
- Statistics Calculators computes common p-values, sample sizes, and confidence intervals on your device.
- Writing Generators prepares a grounded prompt from the document or selection you choose.
- Symbol Reference finds a LaTeX command and inserts it at the cursor.
What runs where

Conversion is a first draft
Section titled “Conversion is a first draft”Oleafly preserves useful structure, but formats do not share the same vocabulary. A Word style is not a LaTeX macro, a PDF stores page positions rather than the author’s intent, and a Typst function may not have a LaTeX equivalent.
After any conversion:
- Read the generated source rather than treating it as a finished manuscript.
- Compile or preview the result.
- Check equations, references, tables, figures, and custom formatting.
- Keep the original file until the converted version passes that review.
