Write a resume in LaTeX, Typst, or Markdown and inspect what a parser extracts from the PDF.

Put the effort into what you have done. Start with a resume template, edit the content beside the PDF, and check the extracted text before sending it.

Open Templates and browse resumes. LaTeX and Typst are useful when you want direct control over typesetting. Markdown keeps the writing syntax short.

Choose a layout that makes your experience easy to scan. A simple single-column template is a useful starting point for an online application.

Replace the sample material with your own work. Keep dates, roles, and contact details consistent. If you use an assistant, give it the source facts:

Tighten these project descriptions. Preserve the technologies and measured results. Do not add achievements or numbers.

Review the inline diff before accepting a rewrite.

Compile, then run the ATS and accessibility checks in Preflight. Open the reader view to inspect text extraction. Check that your name, contact details, headings, and experience appear in the intended order.

Parser behavior varies across application systems. The extracted text and specific findings give you something concrete to fix before uploading.

Duplicate the project for a role-specific resume, or use Git to save named revisions. Export the PDF from the version you intend to send.
