Markdown to LaTeX

Turn Markdown notes or a draft into a standalone LaTeX document without rebuilding the basic structure by hand.

Markdown to LaTeX lets an idea start simple and grow into a typeset document. Headings, prose, emphasis, lists, links, code, and common math become a standalone .tex file you can compile and refine.

Use it when

notes are ready to become a paper or report;
a collaborator drafted in Markdown but the venue expects LaTeX;
you want a clean LaTeX starting point rather than a finished journal template.

If the destination accepts Markdown, keep working there. Conversion adds value when LaTeX-specific layout, references, packages, or a required class come next.

Convert the draft

Open Markdown to LaTeX, or run /markdown-to-latex.
Paste the Markdown source.
Choose Convert.
Review the standalone LaTeX result.
Copy it, save converted.tex, or create a LaTeX project.

Finish the document in LaTeX

The local Pandoc route supplies a general document wrapper. It does not choose a journal class, invent citation metadata, or know which packages your eventual template requires.

After conversion, choose the right class or template, check image paths and code blocks, verify math, and connect a .bib file if the Markdown used citations. Raw HTML and extensions specific to one Markdown flavor may need manual cleanup.
